We welcome all artists.

In our space you will find our 2026 show, Y is for YES, a large-scale community installation, conceived by Kathy Clem, featuring a 10ft by 12ft house that was built on site and wrapped in 52 handmade pieces of felt made with the help of over 60 community members.

Our show also features a 4ft by 7ft garden themed quilt that was assembled by the community using wet felting and needlepoint felting techniques.

Who We Are

Kathy Clem has been an artist for 50+ years and has had many shows of her work. A few years ago, Kathy’s cousin visited and spent time with her artwork—decades of creativity, curiosity, and experimentation. She looked at Kathy and said, “Kathy, your art is beautiful. But when you're gone, it will disappear with you. How will you pass on your knowledge?”

That question stayed with Kathy and it planted a seed. She realized she needed to build something lasting—not just to preserve her work, but to invite others into the joy of making, learning, and discovering. That’s how the idea for the museo was born.

From our Museo you can Expect to Find

  • A curated display of Kathy Clem’s art from the past 30+ years

  • A gallery space for local artists to submit and display their work

  • A workshop space hosting classes for learning new artistic skills or enhancing them

  • A library display of Kathy Clem’s personal book collection which inspired her artistic journey

Our Mission

The Kathy Clem Museo de Arte will present Immersive Experiences exhibiting new installations of Kathy’s work combining digital and non-digital art in collaboration with the community. The mission is to encourage play, curiosity, creativity, and community involvement.
